Through some very personal and detailed examples from my own life, you will be able to see, hear, feel and make sense of how I discovered what was sucking the life out of me and how I corrected it over time.

Rethinking The Scarcity Mentality - Episode 22

This week on The Sober Curious, we’ll stroll down memory lane to examine a regular occurrence we all know and love.

Whether we’ve convinced ourselves we are missing out or we’re operating based on social programming and even childhood memories, the scarcity mentality can wreak havoc on our ability to regain control over alcohol.

We live in a time where access to alcohol is plentiful and more available than ever. Our beliefs about alcohol may need to be reprogrammed.

This week, we’ll look at common examples where a scarcity mentality works against us gaining control over our excessive drinking habit.  It’s important to recognize our beliefs come from thoughts we repeatedly think over and over again.

Our beliefs are optional.....just as our thoughts are optional. The awesome news is....we can change them to be anything we want them to be at any time we desire.

If you’re creating drama...

Welcome to the transition episode of The Sober Curious Podcast - Jumpseat style coaching (AKA Jumpseat Therapy) for Flight Attendants who want to find freedom around alcohol.  In the weeks ahead, I’ll be talking about how to bridge the gap between your mind and permanent freedom around alcohol.

I’m experiencing what I refer to as JoyFear right now. I'm incredibly excited to be turning my focus towards specific coaching for those of us who live the Crew Life Lifestyle and fearful of making the shift to such an extremely narrow group of people.

I think Podcasts are wonderful tools for us who live the travel inspired life. Easy to access via our smartphones or tablets to hear and make sense of the coaching we need to make changes in our lives in the comfort of our PJs on our layover or on our commutes to and from work.

In this transition episode, I give you a little background about me, my work as a Flight Attendant, and how I got into...

Unconditional Love Is Part 6 of the 6 Skills Needed to Help Regain Control of Your Drinking

Unconditional Love is known as affection without any limitations, or love without conditions. We’ve all seen, felt, heard or thought about the love between a mother/father and child or a pet owner and their fur baby.  When we come across this unconditional love between parents and their kids, either human or fur, we know it right away.

We've experienced it ourselves with our own kids, grandkids, and fur babies. Even when they make mistakes or take actions which contradict with our desired actions for them to take, we find a way to have compassion for them without being judgmental and critical.

However, when it is us....it's a whole new story.  Our actions towards ourselves make the act of loving ourselves extremely conditional. The inner bully comes out when our behaviors contradict with our intended ones. We seem to forget we are a human doing our best navigate the roller coaster ride of life.

Deciding and Practicing Are Required To Triumph Over The Hold Alcohol Has On Your Life

Listen in with an open mind, take some notes on what you will do from one thing you learned in the episode and share it with me via email. Debi at Flying Through Life Sober dot com.
